• Precision-Cut Mats: We provide several paper mats (passepartouts) with different window sizes. These mats cover the specific bezels of your iPad model, ensuring only the screen area is visible for a seamless look.
• Software-Level Scaling: Our dedicated app allows you to digitally scale and position the interface. This ensures that your photos, calendars, or clocks align perfectly with the physical window of the mat, regardless of the iPad's native aspect ratio.

By combining these hardware and software adjustments, iFramix transforms almost any old iPad into a professional-grade smart display.

In summary, we only have one universal frame size. As long as your iPad is not one of the extra-large 12.9" or 13" models, it will fit perfectly and securely in our frame.

We have you covered. To ensure that every generation of iPad can be repurposed, we have developed a dual-solution architecture that guarantees compatibility across all models:

• For Legacy Devices (Below iOS 12, e.g., iPad 1/2/3/4, Mini 1): We provide a dedicated H5-based Web Application. Since this version runs directly through the Safari browser, it bypasses App Store version restrictions entirely. It is optimized for full-screen display and delivers the same core experience—including the digital photo album, weather, flip clock, and AI photo features—as a native app.
• For Modern Devices (iOS 12 and above): We offer a Native App available for direct download from the App Store, taking full advantage of the performance and features (including calendar synchronization) of newer iPad hardware.

The Bottom Line: By maintaining two parallel development paths—H5 Web-based and Native App-based—we ensure 100% compatibility. Regardless of how old your iPad is, you can enjoy a seamless, high-quality experience without worrying about system limitations.

iFramix is designed to be a universal housing for almost every iPad ever made. It is compatible with all iPad mini, all iPad Air (except 13"), all standard iPad models, and the 11-inch iPad Pro.

The only models that are physically too large to fit inside iFramix are:

• iPad Pro 12.9" (All Generations 1 - 6)
• iPad Pro 13" (M4)
• iPad Air 13" (M2)

If your iPad is not one of the three "extra-large" models listed above, it will fit perfectly. You can also use our "Check iPad Compatibility" tool to double-check your specific model.

Yes, all current software features are permanently free, and we are constantly rolling out updates. In the future, if we introduce advanced features requiring high AI or server costs, we may charge a minimal fee to cover our IT expenses—but our goal is sustainability, not profit. We want to help you breathe new life into your old iPad without adding a financial burden.

Yes, the screen remains fully accessible, and you can operate your iPad just like you normally would. Please note that for models with a physical Home button, the button will be covered by the mat; however, you can easily use AssistiveTouch (the "floating ball") as a digital replacement.
